I have two gorgeous boys, Jakob and Alex.

Jakob is the oldest and is coming up to 7 years old. He likes football, which I'm glad about because I've played it myself since I was 5. Although he has played on and off since he was 5 he has just started in a proper club two weeks ago. In that time he has been to footie training twice and played one match.

In those two weeks he has decided he knows all there is to know about football (I'm sure some people will nod at this), that he is a brilliant striker, then that he is no good as a striker but that he is the next Peter Schmeichel, and I'm sure by the time his next match is done, that he is the new Tony Adams or Ryan Giggs.

It is of course also highly likely that he could decide he is the next Roger Federer. Who am I to try and tell him otherwise.

Now, you may think my choice in players shows something about my age. You are probably right, but more so, it shows my disgust with the hold Sky has over sport in this country. If I had Sky I would know the names of the current generation of players.

Sport should be for everyone (not just for those that can afford it) to enjoy and it could possibly spur people on to join sports clubs everywhere. An example; BBC has recently announced that Sky will "kindly" show half of next years F1 season whilst BBC will show the other half. BBC has stated they had to hand over half the season due to budget cuts. Interesting, I don't see cuts in all the other rubbish they broadcast.

I refuse to have anything Murdoch in my house and because of that it is almost impossible for my son and I to pick a "home club". I say "pick" because my home club is in Denmark, and that's even more difficult to follow.

When Jakob gets older I'll take him to see some matches if he is still interested then.

My apologies for the boredom levels I produce. I had hoped to do better than Coronation Ender's or whatever the latest reality tv show is called, but I have failed badly.
