Like most people I get a fair amount of unsolicited calls, mostly from people who want to save me money, give me money or get me to spend money. I am ashamed to say I have been duped once when I let my guard down and it cost me £170!

The scumsuckers always seem to call in the middle of bed time for my boys, when we are busy and the most vulnerable, and I have really had enough! Considering all our numbers are registered with TPS ( http://www.tpsonline.org.uk ) then I find it incredible we get several calls a week.

Obviously TPS doesn't work, so I have implemented my own way of dealing with these people, which ranges from  @|:+&%$! down the phone to politely asking them to f**k off.

I would love for these people and their unsolicited phone calls to be punishable by public humiliation, in the flesh and in the virtual world. Apart from that they should be made to pay for each call, at a price set by the person they are calling... "You are calling Mr Mortensen. He has set his nuisance call price at £47.50. Mr Mortensen guarantees he will swear at you, call you rude names and otherwise not speak to you. Do you wish to continue?". At least that way you would get paid for your time, which is considerable if you add it all up.

With my current system I only get the pleasure of swearing at people, which might be some consolidation but somehow seem insufficient.
